Cannot see profile for AD users

After the upgrade to the latest version of ExCM the profile for some users in active directory does not display.

When you click on the name of an AD user you get a page with the following message: "Internet Explorer cannot display the web page" and a button to diagnose connection problems.

This only happens for some AD users but not for others. And, it doesn't happen for external users.

 The logs (Windows, SharePoint, or IS) do not show any information. Any guidance or information would be greatly appreciated.

    What profile page are you using? Can you provide the click stream?

    Suppose we are looking at the members group for a site (this is a SharePoint Group). In it we have users from Active Directory and users from the ExCM Authorization Store. For some AD users (not all), when we click on their names, we get the "error" page. All other users display the regular User Information page when we click on their names.

     It does not matter if we are using the Site Permission or the Role Delegation Provider.

     We are using the default User Information page (_layouts/userdisp.aspx).

    Click trail: Site Actions > Delegation Settings > Modify all Delegation Settings > People and Groups > User

    Unfortunately this is a SharePoint page. As a result I can't really shed any light on what may be occurring with this page. A good place to start my be to turn off SharePoint's friendly error message feature and see if you can get any more details regarding the error. If you post an error message I would be happy to take a look at it. However, you may have to open a Microsoft support issue as this is a SharePoint page.
