Provisioning Templates

I am trying to use the "Membership Site Groups" option as part of my site collection template. However, i get the "error occured" with an ? saying that the "role manager is not enabled"

Is there better documentation on Provisioning Templates for the following

  Membership Site Groups 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
  Activate Delegation Site Features 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
  Activate Delegation Web Features 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
  Anonymous State: Entire Web Site 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
  Anonymous State: Lists and Libraries 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
  Apply Quota: Personal Site 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
  Regional Settings : All 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
  Set Delegation Web Properties 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
  Site Groups

I created a new provisioning template provider using the quota. This doesnt appear when configuring new or existing profiles, I only see the ones that are mentioned above.

Thanks, Jeremy. This resolved my issue. I did read that article but ignored the last line... Perhaps a red bold highlight

Regarding the Site Groups vs Membership Groups in the Provider Templates

    What is the difference?

I was advised by Sales and a SPA Engineer, that I could setup users and groups after the site is created. I am not aware that I needed to purchase anything more than SPA to accomplish this.

A Site Group refers to SharePoint Groups associated with a SharePoint site. A Membership Group refers to a role defined by a membership provider (typically SQL Server). This configuration typically occurs when using SharePoint in an extranet scenario with Forms-Based-Authentication instead of using windows tokens. If you are not using SharePoint with Forms-Based-Authentication they you will not need to Membership Site Groups provisioning template.

Ok that explains why I got the "Role Manager Not Enabled"

I tested it using Site Groups and got no error using the default template. I will now try to create one using the same concept, so i can see if the groups get created successfully and the users are added

Test Succesfully new custom sharepoint groups were created and existing AD users were added, because we are multiple domains here i need to prefix the domain\

Now can you tell me if i can set the owner of that group. By default it uses the application pool id that is running on the SPA site.
