Is it possible to create a site based on a custom template other than those listed in the documentation?

I am thinking of a workflow that would create a new team site. This workflow would be initiated by a user filling out a request form. On submission, a complex multi-step approval process would end up with the creation of a team site, based on a custom template.

    Thanks for your question.

    Yes, you can create a site from any site definition that is properly configured in your environment. You'll just need to specify the ID of your custom site definition e.g. STS#0.
