I'm trying to install the evaluation of Workflow Essentials on our SharePoint server and am greeted with the following error when running the deployment wizard:
A web configuration modification operation is already running.
Any ideas?

Matthew McBride This did not work for me. I removed Workflow Essentials using Add/Remove Programs, Rebooted the server, Reinstalled the product, and Redeployed. I still get the web configuration modification error. Any other thoughts? I am excited to evaluate this product and the install is driving me nuts.

Matthew McBride This is typical for farms with multiple web front ends. The installer does not pause properly to allow for the deployment timer job to cpmplete for one web application across all front end servers before beginning another. We are aware of the issue and plan on releasing an update soon to address the problem.
Meanwhile, go to Manage Web Application Features on the Application Management page in Central Administration and activate the Workflow Essentials feature manually for each web application. You will need to pause for at least 20-30 seconds between each web application to allow for the timer job to complete or you will receive the same error.
