Invite users from sub sites

Is there a preferred way to invite users to a spcific sub site to a site collection without granting them access other sub sites using the "invite users" feature?

For example:  I have a site collection call "Mark Airlines" which has the following sub sites:  "Passenger" and "Cargo".  I want to invite differnet business partners to each respective sub site but I don't want sub site access to be granted to all site collection members.
